Hello Turmites! What a weekend this could be! I have been looking forward to this weekend for so long it hurts!! Now that I am fully recovered from my back injury we can crack on with another weekends worth of gigs. Friday 3rd November sees us returning to the Bar Brevet, Folkestone. We played their for the first time about 7 weeks ago and it was awsome. Brilliant crowd, loads of people squeezing in to what was a  rather tight space!! Nevertheless it marked a couple of firsts for us...playing there for the first time, using the lights for the first time, having a female on stage for the first time (ask Chunk!!)) and, probably the most surprising of all, G doing a drum solo! None of us saw that coming but it was enjoyed by most of the testosterone consuming gayboys in the crowd. Only kidding G!! It was a quality 2 minutes of tubthumping from the best drummer in kent bar none!! Hopefully this gig will be every bit as good as the last one. So please come along and bring a friend!!

 

Saturday 4th November is a re-arranged gig. We were due to play at The Morehall but this has been cancelled by the venue. However we have been able to get a gig at The Mariner, Folkestone, which is great news. This is another pub we have been trying to get into. In fact we do have another gig booked in for the 30th December so this will be a good chance to test the water.

 

Other than that, not a lot else doing really. Met up with an old friend, who shall remain nameless. She's a great lass and someone I have a lot of time and affection for. Lost a couple of hours with her and hopefully she will be coming to one of the gigs over the weekend. Went out last Friday as a friend was leaving SAGA. Ended up in G28 with Chris, Charlotte and Jo, got battered, went to town on my own to watch Lenny. Thats when the gaps started to appear in the evening. I have no idea what was happening from that point onwards. The only thing I do know is I was very, very, very drunk!! Great night, Lenny were good too. Chunk has moved in with G (bless 'em!!), Lewie is busy at Uni and at home and I have been left holding the baby!! The missus has started working evenings now so I get some quality time to introduce Danny to football, curry, lager shandy's (hes not old enough for the real stuff yet!!) and some decent music. My only free night, Wednesday's, I have been meeting with my old band as we are doing a gig at the Five Bells, Eastry, as a favour to the landlord. Quite a departure from Turmoil as its all rock n roll, blues...definitely not rock!!
