!! Hello Turmites !!

 

Just a quick update on our latest gigging success. We gigged The Victoria, Cheriton, for the first time yesterday and had an absoloute whale of a time. We pulled a huge crowd and knocked them for six right from the get go. We also threw in 4 new songs (DOA-Foo Fighters, Lithium-Nirvana, Whistle For The Choir-The Fratellis and Cigarettes & Alcohol-Oasis) which all went down well. We had them dancing on tables, jumping about like loonies and dancing all over the pub! We are re-booked to go back in May, gig list to be updated asap. By which time we should have some more new songs in the set too. We have at least 4 more rehearsals before then and we are currently getting together approx 4-5 new songs in each one. So we are getting a really good variety of songs in now. Another bonus was the Heretics bike club were in attendance. I know one of them, Matt, from way back and he has asked if we would play at their bike festival in July. This is the breakthrough we have been looking for as this will widen our audience massively and hopefully lead to more bookings, especially at biker rallys which we are really keen to do. Getting in front of these types of crowds is a great opportunity to build your reputation up too. So it was all good. Absoloutely knackered today though, think I need to get down the gym and start working these pounds off!!!

 

Next gig is at Bar Brevet, Folkestone, which will hopefully be as good a night as the last two times we have been there. Check the gig list for the latest dates. Until the next time,
